What does your role look like?
As Head of Business Development & Sales you will lead the CDMO commercial strategy and execution for the Drug Substance Business Unit of Ofichem. The role ensures sustainable growth by acquiring new business, expanding strategic accounts, and positioning the organization as a trusted development and manufacturing partner to biotech and pharmaceutical clients worldwide. Focus will be business expansion from early development to commercial supply of a API portfolio, leveraging the CDMO’s integrated capabilities and international footprint.
Your key responsibilities:
- Define and implement the commercial strategy for Ofichem’s Drug Substance Development and Manufacturing Business Unit.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the biotech and pharmaceutical markets.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development & Sales team to achieve commercial targets.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen Ofichem’s market presence.
- Translate market insights and client feedback into strategic actions and business improvements.
What we ask of you:
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Strategic Account Management within the CDMO, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven success in driving revenue growth and managing long-term partnerships.
- Strategic and analytical mindset combined with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
